Assest Limits are Increasing for 2 Benefit Programs in OBB on 1/1/2011

Medicare Rx Extra Help and Medicare Premium Assistance

Medicare Rx Extra Help Program is also known as Low-Income Subsidy (LIS). Medicare Premium Assistance are the group of programs known in every state as: Qualified Medicare Beneficiary (QMB), Specified-Low Income Medicare Beneficiary (SLMB), and Specified-Low Income Beneficiary II (or Qualifying Individual 1 (QI1)).

The asset limits for both programs are increasing as of January 1st, 2011.

The Details: Full Extra Help: $6,680 for a single person and $10,020 for a married couple
Partial Extra Help: $11,140 for a single person and $22,260 for a married couple
