Richland Co. Clients in Need of Winter Heating Assistance- Automated Appointment Number

The Richland County Community Action Agency, a project of Erie-Huron Counties Community Action Commission, is taking appointments for applications for its winter heating assistance program, which may provide a one-time payment toward a utility or bulk service for households that meet the eligibility requirements.

The automated appointment line may be reached at 1-866-861-6360.

As OBB counselors this number is to be given out when you cannot help a client submit a regular HEAP application because they have received a shut-off notice, have had their utility service turned off or they are running low on bulk fuel.

The total household income must be at or below 200 percent of the FPIG.

Required documentation includes proof of income for the previous 13 weeks, primary and electric heating bills, proof of disability if applicable, social security number for all household members, copy of lease agreement or rent receipts if applicable, picture ID of primary applicant, confirmation number (provided when scheduling appointment) and documentation of child support and unemployment benefits if applicable.
