City Fresh

Hello! I am Ondrea, your VISTA blogger for the fourth week of the month. I'm located in Oberlin, OH and I work to get Oberlin College students and other community members involved with volunteering for the Benefit Bank.

In line with the past two posts about fresh summer veggies, I would like to highlight the organization City Fresh:

City Fresh collects and consolidates fresh fruits and veggies from local north-central Ohio farmers. The food is re-distributed to Fresh Stops in nearby communities where people can pick up a week's worth of fresh veggies for a low price.

• City Fresh serves Cuyahoga, Lorain, and Summit counties.
• WIC vouchers and SNAP electronic benefit cards (food stamps) are accepted at all locations.
• Cuyahoga and Lorain counties also accept Senior Farmers Market Nutrition Program Vouchers.

It's local, affordable, fresh, and tasty!
